З цього вийшла б класична романтична комедія, де всі жили потім довго і щасливо, при чому всі, без винятку. Страшенно передбачуваний сюжет, наповненість, здається, всіма можливими кліше, як не дивно, не псують цього яскравого представника окремого сегменту книжкового ринку. Герої цілком реальні, їхні ситуації – теж, багатьом будуть знайомі проблеми і страждання, а от варіанти вирішення,можливо, що й ні. Не всім щастить знайти кулінарні курси з мало не психологічними консультаціями заразом. Окремо про кулінарію, варто визнати, рецепти з нестандартними переліками складників, де присутні «1 сумний спогад», 1 щаслива мить» чи «1 відверте рішення» - це щось новеньке. Ну, і власне, рецепти теж присутні, винесені в окремий додаток наприкінці книжки. Якщо у вас відповідний настрій – читайте, не пошкодуєте. Але це, мабуть, новий тренд в літературі – якщо раніше, таких сірих мишок рятували прекрасні принци, то тепер мишки рятують самі себе, без допомоги з боку «сильної половини» людства, перемога фемінізму у всій своїй красі.

Знову та сама історія: покинута, ображена, в депресії жінка (знову 300 парами джинсів!) виходить з печери своїх страждань і биє пику всім, хто її ображав. Але, якщо у попередній книжці є хоч якісь елементи оригінальності, то тут… Дуже схоже на кіно Under the Tuscan Sun – дуже красиво, але беззмістовно і нещадно. Навіть локації аналогічні, прекрасні чорняві звабники, і т.д. Герої двомірні, обвішані зайвими подробицями, які не додають об’єму, і зрештою, фінал є таким лише завдяки вдалому збігу обставин, а не залізної волі героїні. Таке… Марно витрачений час.
